Education Therapy with RPM in Lucknow

Beginning from an unshakeable belief — that every child has something to say.

One-to-one sessionsPresuming competenceTrained practitionersNirala Nagar, Lucknow

We begin from a simple, unshakeable belief: every child has something to say — and the absence of speech is never the absence of thought. Education Therapy with the Rapid Prompting Method (RPM) is built on presuming competence in each child, and then building the bridge that lets the mind that has always been there finally show itself.

Using a letterboard with a trained practitioner, RPM supports nonspeaking and minimally speaking children to point, spell, and communicate — and, alongside communication, to reach real academic learning.

Signs your child may benefit

  • Nonspeaking or minimally speaking
  • Seems to understand far more than they can express
  • Has been underestimated academically
  • Motivated to learn and connect
  • Deserves access to age-appropriate learning
  • Would benefit from a route to spelled communication

Not sure if this is your child? An assessment is exactly for that — an unhurried session to understand their strengths and where support would help most.

Inside a session

What a session looks like

Patient, respectful, and always led by the belief that your child is capable.

Presuming competence

We start from the certainty that your child is capable and has something to say.

Building toward spelling

We move gently from motor response toward spelled communication.

Access to real learning

Age-appropriate ideas and academics, for children too often underestimated.

Families brought in close

The moments this makes possible belong to you as much as to us.

Our approach

We work at your child's pace and always presume their capability. We pair RPM with your child's wider communication support, including AAC, so no door is ever closed and your child always has a way to be heard.

In our years using RPM at JAMI, we have watched children who were assumed to have little to express begin to share thoughts, humour, opinions, and understanding that moved their parents to tears. Those moments are why we do this.
